Antonius Is Now Almost At The Top Of The Winner List Of The Year.

The high stakes games on Full Tilt Poker have been uneven since Black Friday, with some epic wins and losses by the mainly Europe based pros. Last night Patrik Antonius dominated Rui Cao, the French based poker pro, winning over $900,000 at the tables, with over $700k of it from Cao. They played a marathon 2,218 hand session that included Gus Hansen who was able to win $150k from Antonius before the game dissolved.

Cao, who was born in China but currently lives in France, had been having a positive year with many swings. He was up nearly $1 million in profit before last night’s $737k loss.

Antonius, who chose not to play in the WPT World Championship or the $100k High Roller, has been the hottest online high stakes cash player since online poker’s Black Friday. He is now up a total of $2.8 million and has officially passed Hansen as the biggest winner on the year. Hansen gave back some of his earlier wins but is maintaining a $2.7 million profit on the year.

There haven’t been many other big runs by other high stakes players. On PokerStars, Viktor “Isildur1” Blom continues his swingy play booking a $183k win yesterday. He played a big session against gavz101 that saw him go down by more than $140k but then battle back and finish almost even, losing just $15,000. With the SuperStar Showdown diminished, Blom hasn’t been able to maintain momentum in his cash games.
