Borgata Spring Poker Open Kicking Off Wednesday April 13
The Borgata has announced details of its second annual Borgata Spring Poker Open, kicking off Wednesday (April 13) through Friday, April 29, 2011. The fifty-three event tournament series will include a brand new spin on its Borgata Spring Poker Open Championship event (April 24–27). For the first time in Borgata history, the Championship is a Double Play, giving players the opportunity to play in Day 1A (Sunday, April 24) and if they bust or forfeit their chips, they will have the ability to re-enter and play on Day 1B. The $2,500 event features, 30,000 in tournament chips and offers a guaranteed $500,000 prize pool.
This year’s Borgata Spring Poker Open will offer a wide array of tournaments, including Texas Hold’Em No Limit, 6-Hand Max No Limit, H.O.S.E., Pot Limit Omaha- High and Omaha Stud events, as well as super satellites, survivor, and Seniors-only events. The series opening event on Wednesday, April 13 is a $350 + $50 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em event with a $100,000 Guaranteed prize pool. This event allows players who bust to re-enter up to two additional times. The series features player favorite $170+ $30 Big Stack No Limit Hold’em on Wednesday, April 20 with a $75,000 Guaranteed prize pool. Players start with 20,000 in chips and may re-enter up to two additional times if they bust.
