Another Huge Winning Week For Gus Hansen
Gus Hansen climbed to the top of the online charts for the second straight week thanks to $626k in profit. The Great Dane was very active on Full Tilt Poker playing nearly 3,000 hands in the last seven days with huge sessions against Rui Cao, Jared “harrington25” Bleznick and rumprammer.
Hansen is now up $2.6 million in Pot-Limit Omaha alone this year and is by far the biggest winner in 2011. Math whiz Matt Hawrilenko came out of nowhere this week to take second place on the charts with $423k on Full Tilt.
The victory represented a huge portion of Hawrilenko’s online winnings this year as he’s now up to $569k. Scott “urnotindangr” Palmer was the biggest winner on PokerStars taking down $335k. Palmer benefited from playing a series of heads-up matches against Viktor “Isildur1” Blom and winning the majority.
It wasn’t a huge concern for Isildur1, who still managed to win $210k in an astounding 26,930 hands this week on PokerStars. Close behind Palmer on PokerStars was Jared Bleznick, who plays as Harrington10 on the site. Harrington10 earned $314k this week.
